Your Coach is Mike Burroughs

Mike brings over three decades of diverse leadership and executive experience to his career and performance coaching clients.  Twelve of those years have been spent in executive recruiting with a boutique and a "top five" global executive search firm, where he has served as a division president and as a managing director.  

Mike is a certified Master Corporate Executive Coach and serves as a board advisor to the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches.  He is also on the Business Intelligence Board of Chief Learning Officer magazine, and the Human Capital Executive Research Board of Talent Management magazine.

Prior to his search and coaching career Mike served in a variety of executive roles with divisions of four Fortune 500 companies. 

Before entering the private sector, Mike served on active duty for 12 years as an army officer.  He resigned from the military to join a Fortune 100 company.  He took a commission in the Army Reserve when he entered the private sector and retired as a colonel.   In addition to having successfully transitioned out of the military into the private sector, he has years of experience advising both junior and senior officers in how to do this. 

Since 1998 he has also managed an executive coaching and organization development consulting business, Segue Consulting Group, LLC, the parent company of ESI, where he has served many major corporations, nonprofits and individuals.  He holds a BS in English from Middle Tennessee State University (Distinguished Military Graduate), an MPA from Clark University, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.  mburroughs@ESIassoc.com
